Terms of use
Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms apply to everyone who uses ftcc.club. By creating an account or signing in, you accept them.
1. What the website is for
ftcc.club helps the members of FTCC organise chains: a member (the OM) sends a cover to a first member, who sends a cover to the next, until a cover comes back to the OM. The website shows each member where to mail the chain, keeps track of receptions and manages participation credits. It is free and run by volunteers.
2. Membership and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
- New accounts are checked and approved by the club administrators, who may refuse an account without giving a reason.
- New members start on probation with a few test chains before they become full members.
- Give a real name and a postal address where you can receive mail, and keep them up to date.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself; we recommend turning on two-step sign-in in the Security page.
3. Your commitments as a member
- Pass chains on. When you receive a chain, register it on the website and mail it to the next member within a reasonable time. If you cannot, pause your participation in your profile or tell an administrator.
- Mail properly. Use correct postage, follow your postal service's rules and never send anything dangerous, illegal or offensive.
- Protect addresses. You see another member's address only to mail a chain. Use it for that alone: never share it, publish it, sell it or use it for anything else.
- Be friendly. FTCC is about friendship. Be respectful to other members, on the website and in the Facebook group.
- No commercial use. Do not use the website or members' details for advertising, selling or collecting data.
4. Participation credits
Credits say how many chains a member can take part in at once; a tier is a reward for the credits earned and limits nothing. Neither has any money value, and neither can be bought, sold or exchanged. The administrators may adjust credits, tiers and the rules when needed to keep the club fair.
5. What administrators may do
To keep the club working, administrators may change a member's status, pause or set a member inactive, skip a member in a chain, block two members from following each other, correct data, and suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. They try to talk to the member first.
6. Mail and responsibility
Covers travel by public postal services. Neither the club nor its volunteers are responsible for mail that is lost, delayed, damaged or stopped, nor for what members put in their envelopes. Each member is responsible for the covers they send.
The website is offered as it is, without any guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. The club is not liable for any loss resulting from its use, as far as the law allows.
7. Personal data
The privacy policy explains what data the website keeps, who sees it and your rights.
8. Changes and closing your account
The club may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and important changes are announced in the Facebook group. You may stop using the website and ask for your account to be closed at any time.
9. Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. Any disagreement should first be settled in a friendly way with the administrators.
